Preparing to travel to Australia from overseas

The Australian government announced that, effective from 0100 AEDT on 23 January 2022, passengers may take a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) taken under medical supervision or any type of Nucleic Acid Amplification Test (NAAT) to satisfy COVID-19 pre-departure testing requirements for international air travel to Australia. Specific evidence will be required. Until this time, travellers must continue to present a negative PCR test.
